Remy Gardner to start the #StyrianGP from the second row of the grid
Remy Gardner will start the Grand Prix of Styria from the sixth position after achieving a best lap time of 1’29.190 despite a crash suffered eight minutes before the end of the Q2. Kasma Daniel will try to gain positions at the Austrian track as he starts from the tenth row of the grid.
Remy started the weekend at the Red Bull Ring Circuit with a very good rhythm getting the second best lap time on Friday. The Australian rider has qualified straight to the Q2 to try and repeat the pole position achieved at the same track last weekend but a small crash eight minutes before the end of the session hasn’t allowed him to improve his best lap time. Gardner will start from the sixth position of the grid.
The Moto2 race will take place tomorrow at 12:20h (local time) at the Red Bull Ring Circuit for the Grand Prix of Styria.
#87 Remy Gardner | P6 | 1’29.190 | +0.403
It has been a good day today, we have finished sixth in qualifying, with a small crash, unfortunately. I think we could have improved a few more positions but our target was the first two rows and we are there. Our rhythm in FP3 was really good so I am quite happy how everything turned out so I think we are ready for the race.
