Remy to fight from fifth row in Japan
The Tech3 Racing team duo of Remy Gardner and Bo Bendsneyder qualified in 13th and 26th spot respectively, following a difficult opening day with changing weather conditions at the Twin Ring Motegi. Both are eager to fight in tomorrow’s 16th round of 2018 when the lights go out at 12.20 local time (5.20 CET).
Rewmy was able to improve on his best lap from Friday significantly in FP3 this morning and lowered his time by further 1.096 seconds during Qualifying to eventually miss out on the top by just 0.746 seconds.

“We had a good Qualifying today. I could probably go a bit faster on the first exit because the MotoGP rubber was on the track, but in the end we managed to improve by a tenth on my own, which is great. So, I definitely made progress in many corners and we feel quite strong. We made some bike changes and from FP3 to Qualifying I felt good, so I think we can be quite confident for tomorrow. Anyway, we still need to work in Warm Up and have a good race pace, but overall, I’m happy.”
