Complicated conditions during qualifying for Remy Gardner in Le Mans
The rain and low temperatures have conditioned the qualifying session of the ONEXOX TKKR SAG TEAM riders. Gardner will start from 12th position of the starting grid of the Grand Prix of France while teammate Nagashima will start from the second last position after the problems he suffered with his Kalex.
Remy, who managed to qualify directly into the Q2, has not been able to improve his best time of 1’51.137 which has positioned him into the 12th position of the Moto2 starting grid. The Australian hasn’t felt comfortable with the rear part of the bike in today’s qualifying session under wet conditions.
The ONEXOX TKKR SAG TEAM riders are hoping they can complete a good performance tomorrow and cross the finish line in a good position that allows them to get as much championship points as possible. The Moto2 race of the Gran Prix of France starts tomorrow at 12:20h (local time)
#87 Remy Gardner | P12 | 1’51.137
“We finished the FP3 feeling quite good about the wet settings but the free practice was much more dryer than the qualifying. From the third corner of the first lap, I felt that our wet settings were not working, unfortunately we have only 15 minutes of Q2 and we didn’t have enough time to stop and change the bike which is a shame. I think we are strong in the rain so I hope we can have a good race.”
