Remy Gardner lines up 21st on Assen grid

Remy Gardner fought valiantly against the tricky track conditions today in the Netherlands to seal 21st on the grid for the highly anticipated race tomorrow, which commences at 14:30.

The confident young gun immediately got to work in Qualifying and pushed non-stop as the circuit continued to dry after rainfall, which occurred earlier in the afternoon.

His personal best, which he set on his 19th lap out of 21, sealed his 7th-row start and the determined Australian aims to punch his way through the field and close the weekend positively.

“I am focused and I will give it my all tomorrow, but I can’t hide my disappointment about the qualifying. Ultimately, I just couldn’t get the third sector right, and I think that our potential was much higher than the outcome. However, we just couldn’t quite pull off the lap today. We still have a good pace for the race, but of course, it will be a challenge as we are starting from 21st. Nevertheless, I will do my best and hopefully, we can finish in a good way.”
