Remy Gardner took some encouraging steps forward today in France as he bounces back from his ankle injury. The young Australian completed the afternoon practice in 26th after producing a confidence boosting performance in the wet and tomorrow he intends to make a further step up aboard the Mistral 610.

“In general, I am feeling better on the bike and I am definitely making progress after my injury. FP2 was really wet, but it started to dry towards the end, yet I gained a lot of confidence back in terms of riding in the rain so I am happy about this. I think that I could have done a better job in that practice, but some other riders held me up on my final lap, which is a shame. However, the feeling is definitely coming back and I am more comfortable on my bike so we will see how it goes tomorrow.”
